In this work, we try to adapt algorithms that extract musical information from an audio file to the case of a particular instrument. The main objective is the study of systems to help the automatic transcription of digitalized music. Currently, these techniques cover a generic sound timbre, so they are applicable to sounds of any instrument for later analysis and conversion to digital music coding format and final score. The classical flute has been chosen as the instrument on which to focus the whole process and, so far, there are no specific tagged databases of sounds of this instrument. An annotated database has been recorded with MID and SVN files aligned to the notes in the recordings.
